Relatively new to photography, but an artist all my life, I have taken my design knowledge to my photos. My goal is to capture the feeling of being in a place while making the photo interesting to look at. Backpacking for 40 years, I have recently decided to incorporate photography into my trips.

I work at REI and love it. Backpacking, service trips with Wilderness Volunteers, and traveling to visit family gets me lots of opportunity to capture nature. I give classes on Backpacking Basics and Composition in Outdoor Photography at REI in Hillsboro, OR.
